First Communion

First Holy Communion is a Roman Catholic ceremony.  It is a wonderful celebration for receiving the second sacrament.  First Holy Communion is a person's first reception of the Body of Christ.      Now let me tell you a funny story.  This is a picture of St. Martin De Tours.  A very old and beautiful Church.  I was invited to take pictures of a darling little boy.  When I walk into church my plan was to take a few pictures then go sit in the back of church.   So I snap a few pictures and finally see Bailey.  I make my way to Bailey, stoop down to take my shot when an angry women sitting in the choir pokes my shoulder and loudly tells I can not take pictures.  OK.  I am not my mother's child in the fact that my mom would have politely stood up and walked to her seat.  I am canaille (Kah nahy).  It means mischievous in Cajun french.  My dilemma is that I know the lady who poked me and she is a really nice lady.  I am not sure why she is saying I can't take pictures and I don't want to be disrespectful.  However, I walked up stooped down and I am not leaving with out my picture! So I say "oh OK" snap my picture and flee to the back of the church.  I am now praying God will forgive me and bless the communion teacher who is giving me the evil eye.  The story goes on as all Cajun Tales do however the moral is to always grill the parents of the children you are taking pictures of to make sure the priest did not hire a professional photographer!
