My Aunt Meta has a collection of old hats. One of the hats still has the original price tag on it. The price for the hat was $49.95 in the 1930's. My friends and I had a ball trying them on and taking pictures! The hats even traveled with us to New Orleans so Angie and I could take a picture wearing them at her favorite bakery.
